I Feel Good Helping People

I signed up to donate bone marrow if needed. They told me that donors could meet patients (if you're a match and donate). When I got to my car, I got teary eyed just thinking about meeting someone who got to live longer from my little bone marrow 😢.

I know you're doing an awesome thing but the way you build up your expectations kinda sets you up to donate to someone who turns out to be a serial killer or a child molester or ...or at least a very ungrateful prick that acts assholishly to you after or gets himself killed 2 days later by overdose or extreme sports.

I know right? But I didn't mean it as discouragement, just that doing a good deed should be independent of who gets to be on the recieving end. Personally i would preffer not to meet the other person (also if they turn into an asshole they can't blame me for influencing from tbe inside :D )
