ironically, in many ways, gen x got along better with the silent generation than baby boomers did

@wildbill83 I do find that ironic because I noticed that too. It was almost as if there was some sort of disconnection between the two generations. It almost seems as if the boomer generation resents the silent generation. The part that I find so unusual is the fact that the boomers are stereotyped as workaholics, and that's how they seem to describe the silent generation. You never hear boomers talk about their parents much if ever at all. And if they do it's not usually positive.
