Well you look preoccupied and bored. If I really needed help, I might think you're clearly not interested in whatever it is you're doing, and test the waters by saying hi.

If you responded slowly and with the same demeanor (not smiling or quickly making a point to make me feel accomodated) then I'd probably find my quickest exit. Lol
