Occasionally I find myself thinking about high school and what it was like. Mostly, it seems to be the wider experience of it though. I'm thinking about where I was during high school, what I was doing, what I was thinking, how I was behaving, and so on. I spent most of my school years attending a British school in Spain. Then, for the last years of my education I attended a high school in England. This was from 2015 to 2018.
Today I was thinking about it because I got approached by these tourists who were trying to find directions to a place. We got talking, and they asked me what I wanted to do. I guess they thought I was still a teen lol. I told them that I work from home as a travel agent for my aunt who has her own travel business. They seemed interested because they were obviously into travelling. They asked why I didn't go to university, and I told them that it wasn't for me. I had planned to go to university as I had the goal of being a medical student. I really wanted to be one, to the point of actually knowing what kind of doctor I wanted to be. I studied biology and chemistry for my A-levels and it became my pursuit. I didn't do that though, because in the end nothing felt right about it and I was just really, really indifferent toward things for a while. People were expecting me to do it and I guess were disappointed at the time but for whatever reason it felt right to me. Instead I just worked at various temp jobs and got pregnant a year later...and it was the best thing I could have done. I won't go into detail about why, but it truly was. Now I have a very good job and I really do enjoy it, and plan to go further and become successful. It's weird to think of how much I have changed in the past three years.
It's all good change.
