I Am Going to Say Something Controversial

I think intelligence is a privilege. And the most underrated privilage at that. I think it trumps race, gender and sexuality. It's probably about the same as wealth/class but under disability.

The word 'IDIOT' should be considered a hate crime!! (Ok maybe I took that too far..but I believe the first part)

EDIT: I'm not saying intelligent people don't have just as difficult life's as anyone. I don't really believe in any large group of people being considered "privileged" (actually hate that word and think it's over used) everyone's life's are different based on their personal situation. But if we're talking in terms of privilege as its thrown around today then yeah, intelligent people should be added to the huffington posts axis of evil 🙃

@bobo the natural ability to memorise information and regurgitate it at a later date. The same intelligence the education system is built around.

I'm aware there's other kinds of intelligence like creative and even humour and people are also lucky/privileged to be born with those. But the educational system doesn't really cater to those people.

But yeah if you have great work ethic then you can achieve anything whether you're naturally intelligent or not. But that also goes for every "non-privilaged" person. (Except perhaps disabled people in some instances)
