I Am Going to Say Something Controversial

it has been linked to over use of online communities that people lose their sense of self and lose their self esteem and worse even that they want to commit suicide and cut themselves. Why doesn't this get taken seriously. Moderation? Self discipline please kindly post your thoughts?
