This is a hilarious post :)

@Canuckle in the south part of Oklahoma City in one area there are a lot of red-tailed hawks flying around, sometimes flying big circles as they do when they are relaxing. Have heard of them catching doves and other birds in the area. I also have seen some miniature chihuahuas in the very same area, in a fenced front yard but no one is watching them. They are very vulnerable to being caught by a hawk looking for an easy meal. It happened in a different part of the city about a decade ago. The owner said she heard the dog yapping and snarling and looked up, a hawk had it in its clutches and ended up dropping it, probably too much trouble. The dog survived.

@cherokeepatti Wow! That would be a bit scary for the dog and its owner. I couldn’t imagine one of my cats being hauled off by a bird. I know they swoop down at my dog, but he’s a beagle so a bit bigger and the birds are magpies.

I guess there is a positive to living in the city. Less likely to have a hawk or eagle nearby.
