I think we take some forms of medical care too far.
When a cure for cancer causes more suffering than dying of the disease, I think it's insane. But I acknowledge people's right to choose what they think is right for them. It's different for each.
When some kinds of surgery cause serious lifelong trauma to children, I think we should think twice about it, and if possible delay until the child is old enough to understand and decide for themselves.
