I wish there wasn't bad moral implications to forcing drug addict females who have 3 children all born addicted to drugs to get their tubes tied.

@BlueVeins Yeah it seems reasonable to me that if you have 3 babies in a row while still doing that stuff then you should get your tubes tied and then I thought of how that could overreach into other areas and I didn't like that thought. But on the surface it's the logical thing to do.

@SatanBurger the government can literally take your kids away if you don't take care of em, and that's a good thing. Any power capable of doing good things can also be abused.

@SatanBurger when people are addicts, they arent clear minded.
Their lives evolve around their addiction, and the probelms and consequences caused by it.

Removing the option of abortion from this disaterous equation just makes it worse .

@OogieBoogie Yeah I saw a video of a newborn who was born an addict and just the way it was writhing in agony and stuff, it was kind of traumatizing where the distinct thought was like why don't they just sterilize her? Then I thought about that slippery slope for a minute.

@SatanBurger i had a friend who was a foster carer, and in the end , fought to adopt, all three children of an addict mother.

It was a nightmare for the children .

They would see their natural mother every second weekend....and itd take a week to undo the damage she did to these children emotionally and physically.
Sometimes she foster mum would spend two days in the ICU, coz the baby was unresponsive from being drugged (to shut it up and stop it crying .....for a WHOLE weekend !).

And it took YEARS and stubborn dedication by the foster mum to collect enough medical evidence to PROVE these children needed to be exctracted.

Its SO wrong. The addicted mum had over 5 years of medical, social, emotional and physicsl abuse and neglect recorded on these kids , and authorites still let her have more , and collect the social security for them .

I agree. I think there should be legislation in place for those who are proven to repeatedly neglectful and abusive and incapable of caring properly for a child.

No one should experience what these kids had to .....i can't even repeat the fucked up stuff my friend used to break down and tell me😔

She was a fucking angel .
