I think it's perfectly fine to eat one day and skip the next because it balances out.

Say you ate too much one day and the next day you eat next to nothing. It pretty much makes up for the day before and it tricks your body. If you zigzag your body doesn't get used to living off of certain calorie amounts so you dont get stuck in a rut.

Intermittent Fasting can be beneficial, however if you're binge eating and trying to counteract the binge by a "fast," your body most likely will store the caloric intake at higher/more rapid rate (causing weight gain)
