I Am Going to Say Something Controversial

My mind races a thousand miles per hour. When and if I can, I will pull out and dissect the thoughts I feel are most important.
But sometimes those important things get muddied with all the extra thoughts shouting for their turn in my spotlight.

I can say without a shadow of doubt...
that I like to be tied up, so my heart and mind can find the clarity they deserve and desperately need.

When I’m in the shower, I find clarity. I can’t do a damn thing about how I feel when I’m all soapy and wet... I can’t write it down and there is nobody to hear me if I should speak.

When I’m driving and the music is turned up. Same situation... I can’t write and there is nobody to hear me.

When I’m on the telephone and someone is venting about their rotten day. My clear thoughts are always trying to get me to pay attention then too.

And there are plenty of other ways that one can be “tied up”....
And I like those ways just as much as the other ways too.
