I Am Going to Say Something Controversial

Many products traditionally made from animals can now be made from polymers, and vegans say we should always use these synthetic alternatives. However, polymers are made from petroleum, which is essentially dead dinosaurs. So it's still an animal product, not different in that regard. It's just worse for the environment.
