I Am Going to Say Something Controversial

We believe we are so tolerant in our western societies, but what we really are is a bunch of hypocrites. We have just substituted government authoritarism for social control authoritarism, especially online.

This is just another side of our idea of 'progress': going on with our beastly mentality of centuries, but in a cleaner, better-looking way. The same way we can kill now using chemical weapons instead of swords, and avoid the dirty sight of the blood, we lynch online those we do not agree with and avoid seeing the gallows and the rope.

This is the tolerance of those who have the word in their mouths all the time. Set a code of rules that EVERYBODY must follow (democracy, equality...), and if someone dares to question them, unleash the army of keyboard (sometimes not only) SJW warriors to destroy their reputation, harass them online, threaten them and their families, call for boycotts on their business...until they are crashed and often forced to leave the country.

If I have to choose, I prefer the good old authoritarism to this new one. At least it is not hypocritical and does not hide under a mask of tolerance and progressivism.

It's always interesting to see people complain about those who are "easily offended", when they are themselves easily offended by the things those "easily offended" types say.
The irony, as thick as it is, is lost on you.

@SameoneElse Can you not see the different between being 'offended' and feel for people being bashed. I don't have twitter or Facebook so it is not going happen to me, but I don't think anyone has to go through it in the name of tolerance.

By the way, do you know me and how I deal with irony?
@Cierzo I know how you deal with irony, because I'm looking at it. You miss it.
Also, can you really not see what I'm pointing at?
You cannot complain about bashing or censorship from those who disagree with you, and then turn around and say try to censor them because you don't like what they say about you.
It's like when people complain about political correctness, they hate to be told how to be correct, but want the others to be correct about them and not call them names.
Also, again, to say something or someone is better because it's honest, is nothing but self serving. I can say I prefer honest men when they say women should be beaten, that doesn't make it right.
Can you not see this?

@SameoneElse Can you not see it is not the same to denounce a general situation as drawing a target on particular people the way SJW do?

If you say you think saying something is better because it is honest,is self-serving, we live in different words and there is no point in farther talking
I see you don't address the actual argument but chose to hide, again, in victimhood. Good luck.
