Homeless guy has full time job, still can't pay rent. I wish him well though.

I can't speak for other places around the world but where I live the majority of long-term homeless people are on the street, not because their aren't homes available or social services to assist, but because they have serious mental issues and are unable to meet the responsibilities required for living in a home without being evicted. I don't know what the solution is with people like this.

@SW-User Well the guy in the video explains that in Pasadena for example they have a requirement that your income has to be at least 3 times that of actual rent. Singles go for 1,800.

It's crazy so that basically outs a bunch of people from getting shelter. If I made 10 hourly in California (not saying that's what the man makes, just for example) I would be homeless too because there's no way I could afford shelter for about 700 monthly anymore.

Well with the cost of other expenses I wouldn't even have that to live off of really.

@SatanBurger I understand what you mean. Actually here it's almost the same, there's an expectation that your rent is no more than a third of your income, but the problem is for many people including me, the average rent is about half of our income and then there's the electricity, gas, water bills etc so the only way I can afford to rent is to share with someone who I don't get along with. This is one reason why so many people get into relationships very early, so they can move out of home without having to share with just anyone.
