Can you really say it's family friendly if it promotes slavery?

I can't really remember for sure, but didn't they join him of their own free will because it's safer working in the factory than to be hunted by animals in their original habitat; and are even paid as well in their favorite food (as they have a village somewhere in the factory and thus don't spend actual money to begin with)?

@Teirdalin Yes this whole "reasoning" Wonka provides mention that....so then it goes from an issue of slavery to an environmental issue. He essentially forced the extinction of a species from a biosphere.

@SW-User These are questions Roald Dahl really should have answered. Then again he kinda looked like an Oompa Loompa too so maybe he lived in the factory. 🤔
