Ever have a discussion with a socialist

Who denies all past iterations of socialism don't match his or her dream of what socialism could be?

Historically there were successful communes like Makhnovshchina, Paris Commune, ....
Today there is Rojava for example

Those have and do work like intended.

@RebelliousSpirit There are also Hutterites who live communally. However they do not consider themselves socialist. They are Christians. HUGE difference.
@hippyjoe1955 Yes communes can work with or without socialist principles.

I'd reject Hutterites cause of their partriarchal structure
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RebelliousSpirit They still operate as a commune. They are Christians first. Silly you and your patriarchy phobia!
@hippyjoe1955 Where is the connection? Cause i refuted your initial post?

Partriarchy caused women suffering I have every right to call it out. As long as women are not coerced into it and kids born into it have a way out and are shown multiple options how to live their life I would have less of a problem with it.

@RebelliousSpirit Patriarchy has kept women safe since the beginning of mankind. Silly feminist revisionist history doesn't understand the peace of being women and men.
@hippyjoe1955 Did anyone ask women whether they want to be kept safe?
Not able to vote, not allowed to work, breeding machines, kept from higher education, domestic abuse, zero influence on politics, ....

@RebelliousSpirit Strangely enough I am of an age where I can remember my grandmother's and great aunts who were born in the 1800s and my mothers and aunts born in early 1900s and the girls I went to school with from the mid 1900s and my daughters born in the late 1900s. My grandmother and great aunts married when they were 16 years old. They lived on a farm and had large families. One grandmother had 15 children. They were happy. They worked hard. They had hardship but they were happy. My mother married in her early 20s and she had 4 children. She lived on a farm and she was happy. Yes there was toil and there were hard times but she was happy. My wife married in her early 20s and has had 6 children. She is happy with her life. Yes there are struggles and hard times but we have each other to lean on and we are both more in love today than we were when we married 45 years ago. My daughters and former daughter in law are not happy. They go to work everyday as drones and could be replaced at any time. Their former husbands did not meet any of their needs. One daughter's husband would not give up playing little boys games and became addicted to weed. The other daughter's husband wouldn't get over hanging out with his buddies and became addicted to cocaine. The daughter in law (ex) couldn't control her spending and rather than her husband putting limits on her bank account he went out of town to work. Soon she began exploring the kinky side of sex at sex clubs in the city. They soon divorced. So my grandmothers and mother and my wife and I remain married and happy in the marriage. We find fulfillment in each other. My daughters who grew up indoctrinated in feminism are miserable. The men they chose refused to be men. Why? Because the men had been indoctrinated too. They didn't need to look after their family. The woman was equal in all ways so she could go find a job. Her money could pay for the kids and his money could used for his fun. Feminism is poison and only the foolish don't understand that it is best when women are women and men are men.

@RebelliousSpirit You have no idea what the dynamics are in our relationship. Nice of you to show your intollerance.
@hippyjoe1955 I would support your relationship if you weren't pushing anti-feminism since feminism made it possible that your partner engages willingly in your relationship
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RebelliousSpirit So what is so sacred about feminism? Every time I see it in action the women are miserable and the men are irresponsible. Nothing in feminism is worth defending.
@hippyjoe1955 That's your subjective point of view. I take it you surround yourself with religious fundamentalists such as yourself?

Every time i see it in action I see healthy independant women in either a happy relationship with kids or being single and having a great life.
Misery if it exists comes from our terrible economic system.
Your ideology expects all women to be the same and to have the same desires and hopes
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RebelliousSpirit And your religion is feminism which you can not defend based on evidence. Women are much less happy under feminism than they ever were under the 'patriarchy'. That is quantifiable. Feminism where a woman is expected to have a baby in the morning and out picking potatoes that afternoon.

@RebelliousSpirit Same desires and hopes for what? Women aren't men and men are not women. Women diminish themselves by trying to be men or take on men's roles just as men diminish themselves when they try to take on women's roles. Such nonsense is the foolishness of feminism. Sadly it is a cruel joke and the victims are women.
@hippyjoe1955 Roles have been different throughout history. There was a time nobility men wore heels.
Your idea of traditionalism the way it is lived today came about during the industrial revolution.
By creating narrow boxes male/female you push people into misery by claiming you know better when it comes to individual life choices. Very authoritarian of you.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RebelliousSpirit No not really. Nice feminist doctrine you spout but no that is not true. Let me give you an example. My mother and mother in law were traditional wives and mothers while an aunt was an arch feminist. While the moms raised their babies and kissed their boo boos better the aunt strove up the government ladder. Promotion after promotion led her to the top of her field. Great triumph for women everywhere. But then she fell out of favor with the government of the day and was 'retired' in her 50s. She had no family. She had few friends. Her focus had been on her job. When the kids grew up they would pop in to visit their moms unexpectedly and show their love and admiration for the woman that had given them birth. The feminist became angry and bitter. No one wanted to be near her and she withdrew into semi seclusion. I would go visit and she would break off in mid conversation and go hide in her bedroom. I would let myself out and say a quiet prayer for her happiness and sanity. You go climb your ladder and when you get to the top we will all laugh at you for having attained it you have attained nothing.
@hippyjoe1955 Nice strawman
Girlbossing might have been a popular feminist argument but it's bullshit. No woman I associate with is career driven for example yet still don't want men or kids.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RebelliousSpirit Get back to me when you find happiness. I can wait.
@hippyjoe1955 Nice deflection cause you realized your argument is worthless
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RebelliousSpirit Nope. I will wait until you find happiness. You won't find it in feminism so I may have to wait a while.
@hippyjoe1955 You know there are so many reasons people don't find happiness.
I am miserable due to the economy and lack of family.
The hug or kiss from my best friend does make me happy though. Happiness are moments anyway and not a lasting state.
If you think whether a woman is happy or not entirely depends on how "feminist" she is by your metric you are wrong. But you are unhinged and batshit crazy when reading all the things you believe in.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RebelliousSpirit Feminism is an anti human death cult that is hardest on women. Not sure why that fact eludes you. Maybe because you want to be part of it?
@hippyjoe1955 😂😂😂😂
You are such a 🤡
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RebelliousSpirit Too bad you are not as critical of your religion. You know the death cult that stands against all that is good and healthy for men and women.
