Ever have a discussion with a socialist

Who denies all past iterations of socialism don't match his or her dream of what socialism could be?

Plenty, including several here on SW. It's always about how socialism/communism have never been implemented in their purest form. Funny, because they've had well over 200 years to get it right, but it always leads to misery and death.

@BizSuitStacy Yep. It's never been tried, they'll tell us. And then they point to places that aren't really socialist, like Scandinavia, where the taxes are sky-high and there's very few people actually living there compared to here.
@graphite Yes, those are market driven economies with heavy taxes to support extensive gov't programs. That's not socialism.
