@DeWayfarer I have logically concluded that not all religions are the same. It is of ignorance people think they are.
I have no mainstream religious beliefs myself, limited to three tenants or pillars:
1:
2: Alcohol is proof that there is a god, and he wants us to be happy.
3: When we die, our souls are carefully packed and stored in a U-Haul facility in Buffalo New York.

No you have not! Infact my point about shaman is scientifically proven.
Shaman were the start of religion!
Your point only proves that there are many tools and objects! Some more used than others!
Your example is like saying; the wheel is responsible for the control of religion. Where it's only a tool. Alcohol IS an object! U-hauls are objects and tools!
No animal has a religion. Yet some animals do use tools and objects!
It's the concept that controls. Not tools or objects! And people are responsible for concepts.

I can think of one concept that is similar to religion, that as well controls, and even that is pushed by religion for millennias.
Gods!
Gods are not objects, even if they supposedly control objects, even by shaman's beliefs.
The concept of a god that controls: wind, air, fire, earth, or the ocean. And yes even a god that controls alcohol: Acan, Mayan God of alcohol! Or even a single GOD that controls everything!
Religion controls! Religion made up these various god concepts, to control.
