I Am Sick and Tired of ******* Propaganda

I read an article titled too many fruits and veggies give you heart problems (paraphrasing.) I thought to myself, that doesn't sound right so I clicked on it. Turns out the entire article was about the supplementation of manganese in combination with too many veggies and fruits gives you a type of heart disease because of overdose.

So don't supplement and eat fruits and veggies, got it lmao.

Articles like that are misleading, most people don't read and just read the summary. I think companies do it on purpose.

When my Dad was in nursing school in the early 70's, supplements were starting to become popular. He was told by his dietary professor that they were extremely dangerous because they were not regulated by the FDA. One cereal that had come out during that time was called Total, that boasted having 100% recommended daily allowance of multiple vitamins and minerals. What the advertisers deliberately failed to say was that if you ate a bowl in the morning, you risked overdosing from eating anything else that day.

[@712671,NativeOregonian] I'm vegan so I supplement with a vegan vitamin d3 and B12. I tend to agree with you though, I wouldn't over do and I don't take a multi vitamin for fear of overdose.
