I Think That When Guns Are Outlawed Only Outlaws Will Have Gun [Pro Gun]

I saw a bumper sticker today saying "BAN ASSAULT WEAPONS" but since assault weapons for the most part are already illegal wouldn't that make them legal to own then? You know, two negatives make a positive kind of deal?

Herr Trudeau just obliterated democracy in Canada this weekend by unilaterally passing a ban on "assault style weapons" via a process free of due democratic process. No definition of what that entails or how (until friday) legal owners will be compensated, and there is no formal way to dispute the "emergency" method used.

I'm just waiting for this to blow up in their face when the next super conservative religious wingnut PM uses the established precedent to unilaterally ban abortion and gay marriage.

Liberals and logic plain old don't mix, amd they just resort to shouting down dissenting voices or via backroom politics when they know it would be torpedoed in open parliament.

@Luchs the concept behind an Assault Weapon is an Assault Rifle which is an Automatic weapon and is illegal for a civilian to own.

@TakingBackMidgaard ..which again is lame. I can assault someone with a frying pan. A firearm is a tool. It can be used to disrupt, or restore the peace. Sheeple always cry to call the police, but what are the police, but good guys with guns?
