I Am Pro Choice

I could rant, but I won't. It's simple. I am not you, therefore I cannot make decisions for you. The law should reflect that. The law is not there to police questions of morality, but legality. It should offer the option for people to choose abortion if they want to, and also offer them the ability to choose not to have an abortion. The reality of the matter is, pro choice isn't pro abortion, it's the idea that you should be able to choose. It's inclusivist rather than exclusivist, like the pro life argument.

It's ok, we all make mistakes. My whole point is that it's not up to us to decide for other people what the right thing is, especially in such a subjective matter, so the law should allow for everyone's opinion, so long as that doesn't cause people to be personally and individually negatively affected.

Not exactly. It's too complicated. If I wanted a baby, and someone took that chance away, it wouldn't count as murder and I would get no justice. I'd be told that wasn't really a person so too bad. Instances like that show that it's not so "inclusivist." That's an issue right now with the Flint water crisis. There are women who've miscarried being told they have no case.
I'm not trying to change anybody's minds. I just think that should be taken i to account because there are a few posts here and plenty everywhere else that want to insist that pro life folks are the only ones dismissing rights.

Robochloe, I know they're different, but part of that argument always goes back to whether or not a fetus is a human being and whether that has a right to life. The arguments get tied up when it comes to legal issues. Sorry. I was thinking about this in a different discussion about this topic but just dumped it on your post without explaining better. Shouldn't have done that.

The ring to to choose to have an abortion is not the same as forcing abortion on people. The pro choice community, for the most part(there are, as always, some idiots), is accepting of people who choose not to have abortions. Also, miscarriage and abortions are two very different things, which are not related at all.
