I Am Pro Choice

Ones personal beliefs, have nothing to do with her personal choice. Whatever that decision may be. Whatever that reason is, has nothing to do you.

I support your personal choice but the issue is not so clear cut as you make it sound. Doesn't the unborn child you created have any rights?
@fazer1k Once the woman has decided to let a child develop, that child, imo, then has the right to as healthy a start as possible. It’s because a woman does have the freedom to choose not to remain pregnant that then continuing to self-abuse via drugs, tobacco or alcohol makes no sense.

@fazer1k I’ve been pregnant 3 times, so I know how this works.... It’s a fetus or embryo. It doesn’t have rights. It doesn’t even have a birth certificate or social security. No documents to show that it counts as a human being, considering that it’s a potential human being. Every decision a pregnant woman makes, is hers and hers alone.

Even at the time of birth, can a woman decide who she wants in the room with her. She can decide if she wants drugs or not. Or anything that has to do with her body, and her health.

@NaturalBeautyQueen Unborn babies clearly do have rights otherwise women would be allowed to abort up until full-term. The question is how far those rights extend one way or the other.

I respect your opinion, but clearly not everyone shares that opinion which is why the debate exists. The current situation differs depending on which country you are in too. Times and values change and laws/rules change accordingly.

@fazer1k What tights are those? I simply explained in my previous comment, that a fetus clearly does not. While explaining to you the reasons for why that is. And women are allowed to have late term abortions if her life is in danger. Even with that, she has the right to decide whether she wants to terminate or not.

@fazer1k I respect your opinion as well. And thank you for commenting respectfully.

@NaturalBeautyQueen I already answered you. Why can't you abort up until full term unless your life is in danger? Because at that stage abortion is considered wrong - some would say murder. If the woman's life is in danger then her life is prioritised over the life of the baby. An unborn child at some stage already has a right to live (or you don't have the right to abort). It amounts to the same thing. If you see things differently we'll just have to agree to disagree.

@fazer1k abortions are legal up until 20-24 weeks. During the time a fetus feels pain. During that time the fetus has developed into, what the laws consider a human being. But let’s face it, how many women do you know to have had abortions between 20-24 weeks? Most, almost all cases, the woman schedules for an abortion, the time she finds out she is pregnant, which is very early 1st trimester. A woman can have an abortion early in the pregnancy due to medical reasons. I know. I’ve had one because of that reason. But many times, the fetus doesn’t create problems until later in the pregnancy. Everything has a cut off. Abortion is no different. But the fact that a fetus feels pain between 20-24 weeks is the reason for the cut off, according to abortion laws. Before legalized abortions, women were having them later than 20-24 weeks. Cut offs are always good.
