I Reject Obamacare

There are some who are too poor to afford to buy health insurance on their own who are also not sophisticated enough to figure out how to take advantage of the premium tax credit. The current law says those people need to be fined / "taxed". Who does that make sense to? Repealing the "individual mandate" should be the very least Congress does to fix the whole Obamacare mess. Why are people against that?

Because, barring any other changes, if the few who actually are buying a policy stop buying it the premiums for everyone else on oblamocare goes up. If the penalty has been high enough to make it a no brainer the premiums would have been more affordable for everyone but that wasn't the objective. The objective was to collapse the insurance industry (creating hundreds of thousands of unemployed in the process) so the government could say well, we're just going to have to have single payer. We don't have a choice.

@katielass That is the conspiracy theory logic, but I hate to think that even of Democrats

@GoodoldBob It's true though.
