@exchrist Texas ranks low. They are overall a "welfare state". On a day to day basis per capita Texas pays the government $9200 in taxes......but on a daily basis Texas takes back $9503. For the oil capital of America.......this gives you an idea how little every oil billionaires and oil companies in Texas pays in taxes. Even if Texas billionaires barely paid any state taxes at all there would never be a need for Texas to take a dime in federal assistance.
New York.........As is the case with every Blue State, New York takes less in federal money than they pay back into the system so Red States have the "welfare money" to draw back for their states. Basically Blue States support the welfare and assistance programs for Red States............while red states make fun of Blue ones for being "socialist libs". Stupid, huh? Anyway for New York......they take in $11,115 per capita....on a day to day basis.......but return to the federal government $12, 906.

@sree251" The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) World Economic Outlook was released today providing 2023 economic data for countries and regions.
California remains the 5th largest economy in the world since 2017. California is the 5th largest economy in the world for the seventh consecutive year, with a nominal GDP of nearly $3.9 trillion in 2023 and a growth rate of 6.1% since the year prior, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA)."
This was the end of 2023...............figures always run one fiscal years behind. This article was printed in 2024 in IMF data sheets. It was updated 3 months ago to raise California one spot.

@exchrist It is public information. Google it. The reason some people don't know these numbers is because they don't want to know. Its easier to make up conspiracy theories and just flat out lies.... made up numbers to make their cult leader look good.........in their minds.............than it is to Google actual. published facts and numbers. ALL information on earth is on a computer...............if one just looks for it.

@MaBalzEsHari thats true ultimately they dont want to know. Regardless it should be getting more media coverage.

I am not disputing your ranking. I wanted to point out that both the US and China are in a different league size-wise in terms of their economies. They are like two elephants compared to a chihuahua.
