Greenland is need of the hour for your's as well as whole world's safety. Even if it is on for a period of 50 years lease.

Right now, from phone to critical equipments as well as warfare equipment every nation needs Chips and other smart components. China is the largest source of rare earth minerals which are used in manufacturing precision instruments, equipments and chipset too. China has rare earth minerals but it does not have that Nano chip technology. This nano chip technology is with Taiwan or Hong Kong, which I will have to look for. That is why Russia needs Ukraine region and that is why Russia and China will get into beast mode after annexing their respective regions.
On the other hand, Denmark, which is owner of the territory of Greenland is neither using these resouces nor has any near term future plans for using them.
Once Russia gets Ukraine, it's production rate of warfare equipment will be pretty high which in turn is dangerous for whole Europe before it gets dangerous for US.
