I Am a Gun Owner [Gun Ownership]

A couple of days ago, I was with a group of family and friends.
We were all laughing and acting stupid as we do, until a man that wasn't invited or knocked on the door came right in acting stupid. My instant reaction was to reach for my gun and I held in the corner till cops came.

After it was said and done, my friend said "OMG you carry a gun"? "Would you of shot him if he hurt one of us"? I told her hell no, after he already made himself in, I'd offer him coffee...

Wouldn’t the safer/smarter solution be to look your door?

@SW-User The smartest thing one should do is knock first when entering a home they don't live in.
SW-User
You said it yourself the guy wasn’t in the right state of mind.

@SW-User Ok? Still not my problem he decided to get high on crack and throw things around at us. You can handle things your way when you're in the position I was in. I didn't shoot the bastard, I held him in the corner till cops arrive. Where did I go wrong???

@SW-User Answer to your question "I didn't shoot the bastard" LOL. I know, I know, paperwork & cleaning up would be time consuming.

@ineedadrink Look what the damn wind blew in! Lol..
Drink, if and only IF I had to "use" my pistol, it would be because I feared for my life or the one next to me. Plus they hold you in the cell till you are cleared and those damn strips make me look fat!

@SW-User Ya gotta shift over a state. Don't think that would happen in TX. (the getting locked up for self defense part)

@ineedadrink Unfortunately they collect evidence first around here. Better to have them cornered with witnesses and handed over to the big dogs.
