I Own a Gun [Gun Ownership]

I Bought A Gun... It was going to be either a 380 Ruger or a 9mm Glock. I felt the grip on the glock was too big so I bought the 380 LCP Ruger.
I am the kindest, gentlest person on earth, but if anyone threatens me, invades my home against my will, I am going to shoot first and ask God for forgiveness later...
I took shooting lessons for my concealed weapon permit and to see which fits in my hand the best. If the Glock is good for the FBI, it is good for me and also made in Austria where i have family. i also like the Sig Sauer.

Good for you. That is the perfect attitude. Calm, cool, collected, polite.... but invade my space and it's your a$$. I like it.

I think everyone should have that attitude.

There is/was a shortage of almost every caliber ammo. Although I think it has gotten better. Right after obama was elected, ammo was really hard to get. Especially .380,.40, .45 and 9mm. Everyone ran out and started buying everything up. Including guns. This tragedy in AZ will probably spark another run on ammo since all the libs who love taking away our rights will be proposing gun, magazine and ammo restrictions.

It may depend on where you live... I don't now... but .380 is pretty easy to get around here right now. It may not be that way tomorrow... who knows.

I Don't know a whole lot about Ruger handguns. Ruger is deffinately a quality handgun. I know one person that carrys a Ruger LCP .380. Carrys it daily. Unless you're experienced with hand guns I don't think I would recommend that LCP. There are no manual safetys.

But, I am far from an expert. You can get much better more reliable advice from a gun shop or a shooting instructor.

If you have small hands, you may not like the Glock. My wife doesn't like the Glock because she does not feel like she has control of it. The grip is too big for her hands. She also can't reach the slide release with her thumb.

All you can do is try one out. Try to find a gun shop with a shooting range and normally they have most of what they sell for rent so you can try them out. That's nice considering most handguns are $500.00 and up...

Take your time before buying. Talk to people... experts... whatever.

I know several gun shop owners... and every single one of them are happy to spend time with you and suggest the proper gun for your needs.

They won't try to see you the gun that makes them the most profit. Of course I don't know every gun shop owner in the Nation... I'm sure there are some bad ones... but the vast vast majority will work with you so that you get exactly what you need.

good advice.. thank you...i had heard there was a shortage on 380 ammo..had a boyfriend who asked a sheriff what i should get and he said the ruger...that is what i have narrowed my choices too. I am not a violent person but I am dead serious..if someone invades my space, they are going down..for good.

I was so surprised to see this story it made me laugh funnily enough. It was just the thought of you shooting a gun. That is so alien over here. Guns are illegal where i stay . Thankfully im your friend lol :) the only guns I have ever seen are on Tv.

your FRIEND dont shoot.

another friend recommended the Rueger LCP too. I am definitely looking..a shooting range is opening near me. a lady told me they made a pink Smith & Wesson..i don't want to be laughed at, I want to be feared...thanks for the advice

another vote for the ruger, also check out the ruger lcp...it's a revolver, but very small and light. I personally can't handle the size of the glocks grip so I go with a full size 1911. Thats just how I roll.

thanks..believe it or not..i am going tomorrow and i think the ruger it will be. They are having a sale and they have a shooting range on the premises. I am going to take my concealed weapon class for my permit..

You crack me up...ok, I live in the wild west where we grow big bugs and big thugs...I am deadly serious about this and have given it some thought...I promise to not shoot you...hugs my good friend
