The supreme court has struck down the federal ban on bump stocks as of 6/14/24

I can only surmise that supreme court justices have been bribed by the gun industry. For shame.
Bump stocks effectively turn semi-auto rifles into full auto weapons. In 2017 the insane Vas Vegas shooter used these devices to kill 60 and wound 400 people at a music festival.

Bump stocks have NOTHING to do with home/personal protection. The only use for such devices is for mass shootings and criminals. Call/write your congress people and demand the ban on bump stocks be reinstated.

BizSuitStacy made a similar post defending the decision, observing that a bump stock “does not make a gun fully automatic because it still only fires one bullet at a time”.

@Theyitis A machine gun also only fires one bullet at a time. One bullet after another. Repeat ad nauseum.

@Theyitis Uh, let's try this again. Maybe you just need larger lettering.
SEMI AUTOMATIC MEANS NOT HAVING TO COCK THE RIFLE OR PISTOL BEFORE EACH ROUND IS FIRED. FULLY AUTOMATIC MEANS WHEN YOU HOLD THE TRIGGER DOWN, BULLETS ARE FIRED UNTIL THE MAGAZINE IS EMPTY. A BUMP STOCK DOES NOT TURN THE RIFLE INTO A MACHINE GUN BECAUSE IT IS STILL ONE SHOT PER ONE TRIGGER PULL. This is a single action revolver.
You don't have to cock it to fire. Just pull the trigger and one bullet exits the barrel. This is a semi automatic pistol .
It holds more bullets in a magazine that is in the grip. They are spring fed into the firing chamber. But it's still one trigger pull equals one shot.
