What if everyone riding the NYC Subway (4.2M everyday) was carrying a gun on any given day? EVERY single person from young adults to businessmen to Grandma's all carrying a gun in their briefcase, their handbags, their backpacks ? (No such movie yet) You got to wonder who would make it out alive. If you think THAT makes no sense, then civilians carrying guns NEVER makes sense.

@chip43 There are people on SW who argue that is exactly what we should be doing, arming everyone for protection. And they believe that the more guns out there in everyday use, the SAFER everyone will be, and the FEWER gun deaths there will be. Amazing.

@windinhishair I beg to differ and my reply wasn't a token of support. Further to the situation I suggested (which in my opinion would end up in carnage every day), we're already seeing, in the middle of shootings, where confusion reigns and nobody knows who's the good or bad guy(s). In doubt, shoot them all?

@chip43 Texas is poised to remove one of its last gun restrictions despite widespread objections after lawmakers approved a bill that would allow people to carry handguns without a license, no background check and no training. The Police and 60% of the people do not want this law to go through.
