Those are strange posts. However I am for gun control as it helps to hit your target. AR rifles are not "assault rifles" anymore than any other rifle, it is something the fake news made up. They are a very versatile rifle that are very accurate, are used for competition target shooting and hunting any thing from gophers to moose. I know some idiots do not understand this but if you look at statistics more people have been killed by knives, machetes, hammers and clubs than these rifles. It is just that the anti gun people (mostly liberals) like to believe fake mews and are robots.

@acpguy the debate rages on. The dumbshits call AR-15s "assault rifles" "weapons of war" "built for the battlefield" "killing machines" "weapons of mass destruction." Pretty lofty shit for a semi-automatic firearm, and none of it is actually true. A handful of gun grabbers know enough to realize that an AR-15 is nothing more than a semi-automatic rifle, but will santimoniously claim no civilian should have one.
But no one can justify why. The features that make it look like something used in the military does mothing to make it more lethal. In fact about 9,000 people will be murdered with a handgun this year. But less than 100 will be murdered with an AR-15. Sounds like handguns are the killing machines.
I bring up these facts because former SCOTUS justice Scalia said that the 2A protects firearms in common use that are not unusually dangerous. Of course, this was when delivering the opinion on Heller in 2008, which addressed DC's handgun ban.
The AR-15 is the most popular rifle platform in the country. Estimates of 10-15 million legally owned. That's common use. While handguns account for approx. 90% of the firearm homicides, the AR-15 accounts for approx. 0.1% of the firearm homicides. That's not unusually dangerous.
So the question is out there for gun grabbers. What is the justification for banning the AR-15?

@Playfulanddaring I agree. The gov't focuses on taking guns from law abiding citizens while ignoring the criminal element. Could it be that the socialist/communist maggots in the gov't plan on doing something for which they'd otherwise get shot?
