Here we go again with Gun control!

The number one cause of youth deaths in America are alcholol related. Alcohol is and has been banned to the under 21 crowd for decades! Banning Alcohol doesn't work, and banning Guns won't work either. When will they address the real problem with todays youth? It sure as hell isn't guns!

Owning a gun in the US used to be for sport and hunting. The gun owners then understood responsible firearm ownership. Today's gun owners have guns out of fear. The words have changed to self defense, but it's still fear based. These are not people who should have guns.

@Wendy33 so , someone worried about self defense shouldn’t be allowed to own a gun ? That’s nonsense . Being able to defend your life or those of your family is an inalienable right , not under the control of men .

@TexChik Defending yourself and your family is within everyone's rights. However, you must think of the best practice here. I lock my doors, I'm careful where I spend my time and who I spend it with. I also realize that a gun in my untrained hands is a liability, not something that will defend me.

Decisions made based on fear are poor choices. I'd love to see guns in the hands of responsible owners. We both can look around and see that the level of stupidity people display (I'm not immune either) is dangerously high. Do you really want to arm a group like that? Think of the people you think are complete morons. Now give them guns and tell me if it's a good idea.

@Wendy33 the constitution does not require yours or anyone’s opinion as to who is and is not allowed to purchase a weapon. The law is very strict regarding the lawful carrying and handling and storage of a weapon . To gain a permit to carry in my state you also need to display some proficiency with the weapon and pass an exam over the laws governing it . Personally I do train , shoot in competitions , and go to courses by weapons experts . However that isn’t required ... As for the senseless mass shootings in gun free zones , arming and training teachers is the best option .
