I Am For Gun Control

I’m Gen Z (i.e. the generation that’s being killed in school) and I have a couple opinions about gun control/school shootings. I really don’t want to hear anybody tell me that my generation doesn’t know shit because a couple people ate tide pods as a meme. We’re young adults and we are the future.

The whole March For Our Lives movement is kind of pissing me off. Remember when Black Lives Matter did the same thing and got hauled off to jail? It’s ridiculous that people are trying to claim activism when it’s only white people they care about. The only time the media listens is when there is a white translator.
I believe Gun control is needed in ALL forms. Not just for everyday citizens, police officers need it too bc yanno they’re still murdering unarmed black men.

Another thing, I don’t understand why people are acting like school shootings are caused by bullying. If that were true, we would see many more poc shooters, female shooters, lgbt+ shooters. You know, the people actually getting bullied in school. But, we don’t. The majority of mass shooters are straight white men. Of course, there have been some instances where a minority has committed a mass shooting, but it’s less than 10% of the time. It isn’t a matter of bullying, it’s more a matter of the privilege and entitlement white men have. Straight white men are by far the most privileged and entitled group of people. I believe mental illness can play a factor but it is not something to blame mass shootings on.

What you are bitching about is imperialism, globalism, corporatism. Not capitalism and all those things exist under the hammer and sickle as well but with much worse results.

PS: Russia did most of the enslaving of Asia, not the west.

Would you also care to remind me of who owned the Philippines, how Singapore came to be and who attacked south east Asia? India? Burma? Vietnam? And why?

All capitalism means is that a person owns their labor and their ideas. That they profit on the value of what they create and by their talents. Your money belongs to you is all it is basically.

South Korea is vastly more advanced and freer than the North. Vietnam has done pretty well for a SE Asian country.

Just because we have done some misguided actions doesn't slight the capitalism economic model nor is it evidence of any virtues under the marxist model.
