With the MeToo Movement and the Gun Control crowd, will Trump be re-elected in 2020 ?

It gets harder, and harder by the day. And Im not even talking about the Russian scandal. If these school shootings keep up, Trump is gone.
He wont have a chance in 2020. These kids, the No Excuse crowd, they are mad. He is done.
Do you agree.

To be honest, we can't really blame trump for this as school shootings have been happening for awhile way before his term in office. But lets consider the facts here, that it seems like nothing has been done. Everyone thinks they have the "answers" but yet literally nothing has been done whatsoever which makes me think that there are politicians that are satisfied with how everything is now. People are too tied into their own political parties opinions and I doubt Trump will sway in another direction because if he did he would lose favor of his own political party....politics is more a game about money and popularity than changing peoples lives for the better

@JarJarBoom Of course not. But that is part of the plan. The narrative. Lets create this
anti-Trump wave and just drown him in his own misery. Lets get all of the Liberal Men and Women, and the children, and the sexual assault victims, and school shooting victims to vote against Trump in 2020. It just might work. ☺

@Zonuss It all depends who is running against him. last election it went down to 2 people which was Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton ...that pool was a bit shallow...lets be honest.

@JarJarBoom There is an argument that trumps actions had some impact on this latest shooting. Obama sought to impose stricter gun control regulations. The GOP shot him down in flames (pun intended) and all he was able to do was to impose measures whereby information could be shared between agencies when somebody buys a gun. trump repealed those measures and a shooter with a history that should have prevented him from acquiring a gun didn't.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@JarJarBoom It will not be either one. Im thinking it will be Gillibrand, Booker, or somebody who is a young fresh articulate Liberal.
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
@room101 The shooting would of happened regardless of if Trump repealed that or not because that law wasrestricting gun ownership for Social Security beneficiaries who have a psychiatric disability and use a “representative payee” to help manage their finances (typically a friend, family member, or third-party financial manager). That wasn't the case for shooter in Parkland.

@JarJarBoom Fair point. I didn't know the exact details of the Obama era data sharing measures.
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
@Zonuss I just think the whole 2 party system is really not the answer to this. It just creates this "us vs them" mentality sending a deep division in the country. I don't know what exactly needs to happen to our political system to bring a country together but what is happening now isn't working. The more I read about how politics and policies work, it just leaves me disenchanted because it all boils down to money...money doesn't solve problems..thinking does.
room101 · 51-55, M
@JarJarBoom Agreed.
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
@room101 don't get me wrong, Obama did a good job on some things and other things he completely failed. I don't know the red tape around these things. But there are some people who completely hate Obama on ANY issue just for the sake that he is Obama and there are people who still like him.
room101 · 51-55, M
@JarJarBoom I'm British and I can tell you that the consensus among many people over here is that Obama was one of the greatest presidents that America has ever had. My personal view is that he was the greatest in modern history.

JFK was great, but he had his scandals in his private life. Not so with Obama.

Sure, he failed on some things but how much of that was down to Congress and the way your political system works.

I'm sorry if I sound like I'm America bashing. It's just a very weird system to us on this side of the pond.
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
@room101 nah, I respect your opinion, its refreshing to see someone who isn't from this country having commentary its the outside looking in.. I wouldn't say Obama was the greatest in history, but then again a lot of things weren't really accomplished because the 2-party system. Obama being a democrat and congress being mostly republican. What is frustrating is people refuse to see why certain things were created such as the Affordable Care Act...all they see is their high premium and think its all Obama's fault. The system had good intentions but was built on the hope that everyone would sign up for it (which wasn't the case).

When I was in college, I had a professor who hated the hell out of JFK. Maybe because he was a media darling...I don't know. Every president has some greats and a lot of failures.

Booker is a political hack only interested in Booker. Old school business as usual. Harris is a better choice. @Zonuss
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson She is solid, but Booker is a good choice, however he is a sell out.
room101 · 51-55, M
@JarJarBoom Well, I never said that he was the best in history lol. Just the best the best in modern history........in my not so humble opinion 😁
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
@room101 I'm just gonna say Obama gave the best speeches ever...there was a level of class when he spoke. I feel the same with Reagan too but his economic policies were complete shit.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@JarJarBoom I do not believe it is the governments responsibility to put us together or keep us united. That does not work. People have had power taken from them because they gave it away, and now they are dependents at best. The country has the power to take back its power back from bureaucrats but it refuses to do so. So this fight shall remain.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
What “fight” exactly is being fought? None that I see. @Zonuss
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
@Zonuss The government represents the country, how can you expect its citizens to be responsible when your leaders are acting like children?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@JarJarBoom That is my point. You cannot expect the government to legislate how we as citizens act as far as our own personal behavior is concerned. Racism is a social construct taught and engrained in our heads since birth. You can either acccept it as it or reject it. That is free will. They inflict you with propaganda at a young age, that is the trick. But they should not legislate or dictate how you should think or act.
That is our responsibility not theirs.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
My theory is that the President creates so much chaos that before one instance of chaos is examined or resolved several more occur and meanwhile the business of government has gone on and we are basically clueless what is happening other than a new tax bill, increased budget, more military spending, immigration enforcement and restrictions and we are on the way to some versions of the wall being constructed in exchange for a new watered down version of DACA. So while CNN cries about the minutiae a lot of serious stuff has happened that they don’t report. @JarJarBoom @Zonuss @room101
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
@Zonuss Oh, I agree on that front, I'm just talking about how the government conducts itself when it comes to creating new policies that affects the people. What gets to me is Forced Patriotism.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
How can Booker be a sellout AND a good choice? You’ve proven my point. @Zonuss
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson He is a good choice as far as a person who can beat Trump.
But at this point I can think about 10 people who can beat Trump.
Youve proven my point. ☺
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You’d prefer that the loyalties of US citizens lie with for example MEXICO? @JarJarBoom
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
@jackjjackson I would prefer if the loyalties of US citizens go with their own country, but I don't think people should be punished if they don't believe in standing during the national anthem or pledging...if we start moving in that direction, then we are moving in the direction of what North Korea becomes.
