ICE IS OUT OF CONTROL

We need to do something. As you heard ice just murdered and shot a woman in the face and her name was Renee Nicole Good. Her last words were Im not mad at you and she waved her hand for ice to go past her. As she was turning her car away ice murdered her in cold blood. And more people were shot yesterday. The government is trying to call her a terrorist when she did nothing wrong. She was a wife, a mother and she died right in front of her house when she was about to pick up her kid. Ice is kidnapping people and killing citizens. We cannot let them get away with this.

I've said this whole time I believe this was murder, I don't buy the self-defense narrative and that he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I've been on a Tangent about this story for 48 hours, and clearly I agree very strongly with you, and I can't help but think about the way literally every woman is processing this because if they have a shred of empathy it's probably a mix between Rage and overwhelming sadness, especially because I've already heard from plenty if a bunch of men was screaming at her trying to open her car door and everything that they too would drive off. Even as a man I've been having a visceral and overpowering reaction, I'm livid yes, but the primary thought I had was if they can fuck with her, they can fuck with any of us, none of us are safe, not even white men. So it very rapidly spiraled into "Am I next?" type emotions. I'm also fucking tired of arguing with people who defend the officer's decisions. I no longer give a fuck if she was trying to run him over, I don't think she was, but I'm done, I mean with them taking this out of the Minnesota investigator's hands I'm like those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable. Point being, I approve of running over I.C.E officials at this point because I've fucking had it. If we can't get justice through the regular courts, that leaves only extrajudicial justice. the straw that broke the camels back for me was watching an I.C.E official vandalize the memorial to Renee At that point it was just like Actually it's objectively morally good to run over I.C.E offiical with your car. Occasionally the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants.

@PDXNative1986 i feel your anger. While putting my kids to bed last night i really feel sad for the world they are growing up again and felt compelled to reach for the positives and the things we can agree on.

I think we can all agree it is that we don’t want to see people die
I think we can all agree if the ICE agents had body cams it would have helped the situation. The fact that the ICE agent was recording the whole thing with his personal cell phone is effed up.
I think we can all agree that ICE are not trained to deal with crowds or protesters and that better training or coordination with local officials could help.

As for the details of the incident - my hope is that people can step back and see it objectively, and that out leaders can step up to recognize this was a bad thing and look for reasonable solutions.

@trollslayer I think the only reasonable solution is to abolish ICE.

I think it's a mistake to even them as law enforcement. They have a political function.. The government knowingly and obviously defending them also has a political function.
