Clearly, you know nothing about the Crusades. Here is a commonly known historical fact reported in the book Jihad. Following the death of Mohammad in 632 the armies of Islam swept North Africa, conquered the Iberian Peninsula of Spain and Portugal, and waited at the foot of the Pyrenees to attack France by 711. Four or five HUNDRED years later after constant attacks, endless bloodshed, and cruel enslavement for anyone who was not willing to bow to Islam, Pope Urbane called for the first crusade.
Maybe some of you would like to say just how many hundreds of years Europe should have stood silently by watching the murder and enslavement of the world before they acted. Or, is Islam the ONLY RELIGION ever and no one else has the right to believe in anything else?
Should I, as a dirty, lowly woman, get my burka, prepare to be raped and shut up?

Ask Amnesty International or Solzhenitsyn. But, they are right, there are few left alive to tell the truth.

You are right though, they fought few who could stand against them.

I don’t know what any of you are. I know what you say.
Five hundred years of constant attack probably made the Pope a little testy. We will never be able to do that. We are too far away, too weak, and too cowed by the left.
I am not and have never been a Catholic, but I won’t speak so ill of a man who lived thirteen hundred years ago. Especially, if I knew so little about him as you, which seems to be nothing.
