The Collapse of the American Empire

[media=https://youtu.be/Pncapk_onpA?si=szHr_quPjH65ONCV]

Einar Tangen is a very thoughtful Senior Fellow at the Teihi Institute, although I don't agree with him on everything, he's very astute on Trade Policy as that relates to Geopolitics especially relating to Asia. Others like him such as Jim Rickards have a reasonable understanding of these matters.

Donald Trump’s return to the Middle East since 2017 is amidst turmoil. The Middle East of 2017 and how it appears this past week is a 180° turn, the Trump Administration is now understanding this reality. Syria is over-run and controlled by the same Al-Qaeda the US Government supposedly spent 20 years fighting in the “War on Terrorist Threats.” Violence against Religious and Ethnic minorities exploded under a self-proclaimed Syrian President who until very recently was on the US “most wanted” Terrorist List.

After the October 7, 2023 Hamas Raid, Gaza has been reduced to rubble and turned into a Humanitarian catastrophe. Tens of thousands of Civilians killed and Millions face starvation. US Bombs and Financial Aid facilitated the utter destruction of Gaza.

Iran made Peace with Saudi Arabia thanks to Chinese mediation, deepening its ties with the Kingdom. The US no longer has ANY leverage between those 2 Countries.

Israel conducts Military operations against Countries and now finds itself in a bind and friendless as the World Community increasingly condemns its aggression against its neighbors. After tearing up the JCPOA Nuclear Deal with Iran, Donald Trump is pushing for a new deal with Iran meanwhile threatening to attack if negotiations don't produce the results he demands.

The US Military couldn't prevail against the Houthis in Yemen starting in March and didn't result in their capitulation to US demands, it's clear to anyone with a pulse that the US Government retreated in the face of successful Yemeni actions in Defense of their Country. Genocide Joe launched attacks against Yemen on behalf of Israel, in the end the President wisely removed US Military Assets and called off the Bombing.

Donald Trump is now dancing on a Minefield.

From the utter Fool's Errand of the War for Oil in Vietnam Style Iraq – based on lies – to the boneheaded debacle in Libya, and the utter catastrophe in Syria and countless other Stupidities, the Middle East is a basket case. None of it actually helped Israel at all!!!

Now there are indications that Donald Trump is tiring of this entangling alliance as the MAGA Base is sick of the endless Wars for Resources.

The lesson is the wise Military disengagement from the Houthis in Yemen should serve as a US model for Southwest Asia. Ties forged by Trade and Friendship (as the 6th President of the United States espoused), produces Peace and Prosperity and are far more profitable for Everyone than endless Warmongering.

I disagree on only one point here. Trump is NOT dancing in the minefield. He and the seriously rich Americans are ready to abandon America to its fate and live either elsewhere or in protected enclaves, secure from the harsh reality of life in a future America. It is the regular American people who are being dumped in the the middle of the minefield and told everything is fine. A lot will suffer trying to get out and some will hang back and try to profit from the suffering..😷

@Patriot96 And you keep drinking Koolaid as you Americans say. You no longer rule the world, disappointing as it is I am sure.And hiding in pick up with your stetson isnt going to stop the world collecting what you owe them..😷
@Patriot96
Why have you never served in the US military?
SpudMuffin · 61-69, M
@Patriot96 this discussion is way above your level. But you might learn something from it!
@whowasthatmaskedman they're into gated communities and fortress nations.

@whowasthatmaskedman Come on up and see for yourself. America is still the best country on earth, no matter
how much Democrats hate it. You are right though, Democrats have been doing their best to ruin our fine nation.

They have us on the brink of bankruptcy, due to wasteful, fraudulent, spending around the world, and years of
allowing unchecked illegal immigration. If your leaders in Australia did what they did here, you would be on the
brink too. This is 99.9% Democrats fault, but we are going to be better off after the right does the hard job
of correcting the Democrat led chaos.

@DogMan I have seen America, for business and pleasure. Its a wonderful country and i do regret not getting the chance to see more. Lovely people the average Americans. But there is a sting in the tail of the society that requires an immediate profit to be made by everything in a way other nations dont see it. Education and public health care and infrastructure are long term investments in the future of a nation. Not more opportunities to screw the many to profit the few..😷
@DogMan

No it isn't DogMan, it never was. That thought of your's was born from the delusion of yourselves as a Nation that is taught to every American from early childhood, but there is nothing tangible to actually back up that self-aggrandizing, self-perception that America is the best country on earth.

You may not ever understand my words, but the USA is actually considered a poor country by most people around the world because the quality of life and standard of living in the USA is on par with many Third World Nations. But if you don't get out much and you have no other country to compare your's to, then you will continue to believe the delusions of grandeur that your forefathers have taught you to believe about yourself as an American and believe about your country as the financially and morally bankrupt Nation that it actually is.

@swirlie I know this has been shown a lot.. And its out of date (in most metrics America is now worse).. But it does bear repeating.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman
Best video on the internet. Thanks for that.

@DogMan take note.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@swirlie Who is that guy? And why should I listen to him? Everyone except the hateful left, knows that America is still
the best place to be, especially if you are an entrepreneur.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@DogMan Its not about your opinion. Its about the numbers. America is a fairly good country in some respects. But it just isnt number one..Nor is it heading in the right direction for its people..😷

James Hickman has it right when he made the point about the oncoming the US Government's Economic Train Wreck.

Not once has the Corporate Media elevated the ONE issue that's impacting hundreds of Millions of the American Public, Taxpayers, and Consumers in the next few years.

The US National Debt... and its runaway trajectory easily becoming a major Financial Crisis.

The impact crater for a US Debt Crisis is gargantuan, 350 Million US Citizenry's Lives will be turned upside down. Dozens of Countries relying on the US Financial System will suffer tremendous pain. Billions others will suffer the Second Order consequences.

There’s hardly a word about it. Far more ink has been spilled debating Transgender Bathrooms.

Many of the same Pundits who should've been elevated this issue now complain Elon Musk did a “complete 180” because he thinks the $2 Trillion projected Deficit from the new Tax/Spending Bill is an “Abomination”.

Before, during, and after the 2024 Roll of the Dice🎲, Elon has been laser-focused on personally fixing America’s biggest threat: the ticking Debt Time Bomb. He sacrificed plenty of Time, Money, and Reputation to personally try and stop the catastrophe that'll come if these monstrous Deficits aren’t dealt with.

A few other prominent voices are finally echoing Elon’s warning—like Jamie Dimon, CEO of the world’s biggest Bank.

That’s progress. The Corporate Media sure as Hell don’t want to start this conversation.That’s exactly why it’s hard to imagine we’ll hit the critical Mass of Voters needed to force the Political Indentured Servant on Capitol Hill to tackle the gargantuan Deficits.

@Broache73 Quite so.. It does make a bizarre sense, when one considered that "corporate" media is the operative phrase. Big business owns and controls everything and also funds the electoral system. so who else are they going to run the country for? But the corporations are no longer bound to America. they are global. And when the carcas of America id sucked dry, they will survive our of London, Cape Town,Zurich and Beijing. As for the average American? Too Bad.. So Sad. You all have guns. Sort it out for yourselves. Its not my problem..My personal bet is that if America is still a nation of laws in 50 years, it wont be the same laws that exist today...😷
