The American Empire is Done With

Einar Tangen is a very thoughtful Senior Fellow at the Teihi Institute, although I don't agree with him on everything, he's very astute on Trade Policy as that relates to Geopolitics especially relating to Asia. Others like him such as Jim Rickards have a reasonable understanding of these matters.

Donald Trump’s return to the Middle East since 2017 is amidst turmoil. The Middle East of 2017 and how it appears this past week is a 180° turn, the Trump Administration is now understanding this reality. Syria is over-run and controlled by the same Al-Qaeda the US Government supposedly spent 20 years fighting in the “War on Terrorist Threats.” Violence against Religious and Ethnic minorities exploded under a self-proclaimed Syrian President who until very recently was on the US “most wanted” Terrorist List.

After the October 7, 2023 Hamas Raid, Gaza has been reduced to rubble and turned into a Humanitarian catastrophe. Tens of thousands of Civilians killed and Millions face starvation. US Bombs and Financial Aid facilitated the utter destruction of Gaza.

Iran made Peace with Saudi Arabia thanks to Chinese mediation, deepening its ties with the Kingdom. The US no longer has ANY leverage between those 2 Countries.

Israel conducts Military operations against Countries and now finds itself in a bind and friendless as the World Community increasingly condemns its aggression against its neighbors. After tearing up the JCPOA Nuclear Deal with Iran, Donald Trump is pushing for a new deal with Iran meanwhile threatening to attack if negotiations don't produce the results he demands.

The US Military couldn't prevail against the Houthis in Yemen starting in March and didn't result in their capitulation to US demands, it's clear to anyone with a pulse that the US Government retreated in the face of successful Yemeni actions in Defense of their Country. Genocide Joe launched attacks against Yemen on behalf of Israel, in the end the President wisely removed US Military Assets and called off the Bombing.

Donald Trump is now dancing on a Minefield.

From the utter Fool's Errand of the War for Oil in Vietnam Style Iraq – based on lies – to the boneheaded debacle in Libya, and the utter catastrophe in Syria and countless other Stupidities, the Middle East is a basket case. None of it actually helped Israel at all!!!

Now there are indications that Donald Trump is tiring of this entangling alliance as the MAGA Base is sick of the endless Wars for Resources.

The lesson is the wise Military disengagement from the Houthis in Yemen should serve as a US model for Southwest Asia. Ties forged by Trade and Friendship (as the 6th President of the United States espoused), produces Peace and Prosperity and are far more profitable for Everyone than endless Warmongering.

The other week, Moody’s Ratings lowered the United States Credit Rating. Fitch Ratings and S&P Global Ratings had already done the same. The downgrade was due to Congress’s failure to cut Spending and $37 Trillion National Debt. The House Budget Committee was scrambling to strongarm votes to extend the 2017 Tax Cuts.

Donald Trump's “Big Beautiful Bill” has new Tax Cuts including repealing Taxes on Tips and Overtime. It “offsets” the “lost” Revenue making some cost saving reforms in Domestic Welfare (Medicaid and SNAP).

According to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, the “Big Beautiful Bill” would increase the National Debt by $3.3 Trillion over 10 years. Republicans will vote against the Bill unless Medicaid and SNAP “Reforms” are limited or dropped and they're finding it difficult to offset their Tax Plan since most of them don't have the good sense to get rid of Government Programs that don't work for anyone except the Bureaucrats and K Street Lobbyists.

Tax Cuts advance Liberty and sound Economics ensuring Taxpayers and Consumers keep more of their own Money they themselves have earned. Tax Cuts that aren't combined with real Spending Cuts are delayed Tax Increases. Cutting Taxes without cutting Spending means more Debt and higher Taxes. Tax Increases come from the Federal Reserve’s Monetization of Debt and weakens the US Dollar’s purchasing power. This “Inflation Tax” only benefits the Political Indentured Servants on Capitol Hill and State Capitols with their Corporate paymasters.

The US Congress won't Cut Spending until you force their hands. The Debt that caused Moody’s and other Credit Rating Agencies to lower the US Government’s Credit Rating is massive Spending. Congress can slash Spending wasted on a Global American Empire that's already crashed and burned. Congress needs to phase out the Warfare/Welfare State. Congress can abolish the Welfare/Warfare State’s enabler by auditing and ending the Federal Reserve. And once and for all Repeal the 16th Amendment, Freeing the American Public from 1913’s greatest Pyramid Scheme— Fiat Money and Income Taxes.
