I wonder how many Americans even heard about the Canadian woman who was: 1/ stripped of her valid USA work visa; 2/ detained without access to a lawyer; 3/ not informed of her rights; 4/ transported without notice to any relative of her destination or where she would be held; 5/ denied appropriate human comforts (bedding and a bed); 6/ had to seek contact with friends to get attention to her plight; 7/ was finally released when the media broke her story public. DID YOU HEAR OF IT?

READ IT HERE AND TELL ME IF THIS IS AMERICAN JUSTICE!

@Nihiless On Rose West: The 'cost' of keeping her in prison is due to a lack of diligence on the part of society. I.e., She is there for a reason, she is incorrigible. She needs to live, but she does not have to live in 'comfort'. She deserves to be treated(psychologically unravelled) so she can (may come to) understand the reason why she can't be returned into society - THAT is what I mean by lack of diligence. She should also be afforded (as should all life-sentenced people) the choice to have a medically assisted death - but NOT so dictated by the State. In my belief such a death is a form of contrition as I doubt if I (in her position) would want to live after fully realizing the harm I have done or to face my future in solitary confinement for fear of having a relapse and hurting again.
As for the Mexican cartel type: It's the same thing - deprogramming and letting them weigh the few options left to them.
As for Jon Venebles: He has a 'twisted' mind too that needs to be unravelled for him. Again: No parole, but limited choices with bare necessities for comfort.
I hope you can see that my heart does not 'bleed' for people who kill others. But I do believe they need to come to understand themselves: God gave them a soul too. We should not feel at liberty to take it away - but all people have a choice to live or die; it is only a 'guilty social conscience' that prevents society from helping them to help themselves.
