@PrimeTime Here in Australia the law is that you have to show up to vote, but you only have to get marked off the roll as showing up. The law doesn't compel a person to actually cast a vote. I now just do a bit of a doodle for a few seconds, fold up the papers, put into the appropriate boxes, and leave.

@PrimeTime We also do not do any electronic voting - all done via hardcopy paper ballot papers. I think if electronic voting does happen here there will much less participation and pushback on the compulsory 'voting' laws.

@butterflybaby75 People aren’t enthusiastic about voting in general. Any change to voting system or methodology should be carefully evaluated.
