Student protests show hope for the future

In a situation where state policy is shamefully supportive towards killing of Palestinians in Gaza, the US campus protests are a silver lining and show hope for the future.
What needs to be seen is whether the authorities wake up or do a Tiananmen.

I've made a list, and you are on that list. Yes, you. (Points with her finger at you)

@helenS if I ever see a drone with a camera anywhere near me, I’ll know who sent it!
helenS · 36-40, F
@WandererTony I'll send my list to one of the Metsada units of the Mossad...
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@helenS I hold no land in Palestine. So it might not interest them with no land to grab.
helenS · 36-40, F
@WandererTony If only they had never left Gaza! Gaza was the independent Palestinian state after 2005. How long did take for Hamas to take over after Sharon left Gaza?
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@helenS the question is not how long. It is whether Hamas would have existed at all or at least got any traction if Israel had the correct policy, action and attitude towards Palestine.

@WandererTony First thing our Palestinian friends in Gaza did (after Israel had left) was destroying all infrastructure which the Jewish colonizers had built up in Gaza (greenhouses etc).
And why not! I mean come on, "greenhouses"! What self-respecting Palestinian would waste his precious time on weeding a greenhouse? Our Palestinian friends don't have to work, they are fed by UNRWA and other organisations, so they can fully devote their glorious life to the destruction of Israel (which provides them with water and electricity of course).

@helenS So true, Helen
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@helenS first thing is not after Israel left. First thing is before Israel entered.
ArtieKat · M
@WandererTony You do know the history of Gaza, prior to 1967, do you?
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@ArtieKat I don’t want to go there. I just want the pounding of a hapless slum to stop immediately. It’s genocide and no excuses please.
ArtieKat · M
@WandererTony I didn't ask whether or not you want to go there - I did, incidentally, in 1973, prior to the so-called Yom Kippur war. What I asked is if you know the history prior to the 1967 war. The fact that you haven't answered, but use emotive words like "Genocide", shows that you are entirely ignorant of issues like Egyptian involvement. Egyptians - in case you don't know - are Arabic too, the same genus as the Gazan population.
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@ArtieKat when I said I didn’t want to go there, I meant I don’t want to argue about the history of Gaza at this moment with you. There is no justification for this mass murder and if the word genocide is too emotive to you it is serving my purpose.
And if you think Egyptian genes can justify the Israeli genocide I don’t think I should be even attempting to debate with you. There are more than 40000 Palestinians dead.

I wonder if you know a single thing about Gaza at all? The infrastructure was destroyed by Israel before it evacuated, and then built a fence around Gaza, turning it into a jail.

@Northwest I think there's no point in explaining the course of events (financial support from the world bank to support Israel's infrastructure in Gaza after their withdrawal, the Civil war between the different factions of Palestinian holy warriors, the victory of Hamas) to you, it's no use, you already know the Jews have always committed genocide.

Let's stick with your false claim, that Palestinians destroyed the homes left behind by Israel.. That's patently false and a blatant lie. You're either ignorant, or you're a bigot. I tend to think it's a combination of the two.

And no, you're not going to be to explain it to me, because you can't. You don't have a clue.

Iyou already know the Jews have always committed genocide.

I committed genocide? I assure you, I did not. But, it's not like you've stated any facts.

@ArtieKat Thank you for supporting the justified fight of Israel against those Palestinian butchers. ❤️🇮🇱❤️

@Northwest Please leave my friend Artie alone. You may insult me instead, if you want to. Thank you. 🌷

Is that the best response you can come up with? You're a real adult, aren't you?
ArtieKat · M
@helenS I can defend myself, thank you, against playground bullies, with tiny little tools and intellects to match.
helenS · 36-40, F
@ArtieKat I know you can, but I thought you might feel better when you see you're not alone.

@helenS I only get involved in contentious discussions when I know that I can be open-minded but see only bigotry from certain of the other posters.
