A Divided Nation
There are many untold truths that have hampered the rise of civilizations. Today the world as we know it if filled with undercurrents of malicious intent to steer societies in directions far removed from their hopes and dreams. The basis for all of the undercurrents are all the contakions rhetoric spewing from the mouths of political adversaries, especially the remarks from one Donald Trump.
For the last 60 years the United States has been losing its creditability in providing that safe haven we used to know as America. Our politicians have pushed the envelope too far creating the tempests that are scorching the earth. It is as though the Ten Commandments that were handed down to Moses have been unilaterally suspended and ignored for political and personal gain.
In an era of great scientific, medical and technological marvels one would think humanity would have by now relinquish the yolk of oppression that has kept the human experience held captive. Our rights and freedoms have long since disappeared under the false guise of national security.
We the public have been beguiled into that false sense of security like sheep we inadvertently through our ignorance, apathy and a certain tolerance in accepting the pretense that the United States can justify their domestic and international policies from the last 60 years in creating, "That more perfect union." This when in fact nothing could be further from the truth. Our domestic policies have only deepened the divides within our society. With the current political climate, it has only accelerated more division within. We are facing the reality of what Lincoln quoted " A nation divided against itself cannot stand."
The inexcusable reactionary responses our government has been making have manifested into a juggernaut of contentious circumstances further instigating an already escalating brewing global catastrophe. With the crisis in Ukraine, the horrific carnage in the Mid-East with the tensions with China have underscored our nations inability to broker amicable agreements where peaceful co-existence through-out can be achieved.
We always have to remember instability within nations give rise to conflicts that if unresolved turn into major crisis within and in turn create international conflicts. Through-out the world nation after nation the imbalances within are a direct result of government's failure to implement the reforms and policies to level the playing field as they say. Where there is balance in societies creates equal opportunity for growth, prosperity, health, and education.
Sad to say like in the United States there remains so many imbalances in our society. The greed and selfishness of man continues to perpetuate climates of instability that has long since created the tempests mankind is facing all around the globe. When General Douglas MacArthur quoted at the signing of the peace agreement with Japan following World War II "If man cannot find more peaceful means to resolve differences between nations Armageddon will be right on our doorstep." He was right then as that quote is true today.
