Do you trust the government?

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but I do. I went to public schools. Ive gotten government/ state health benefits. i was on welfare for a couple months. ive gotten pell grants. teh government cares about you. they work for our safety and security. i may not agree with every action they take but i think they would know better than me and probably have their good reasons for it. sure i might think if i was in charge we'd do this or that but i dont want the responsibility. call me lazy lol, but what power to have to alter their actions anyway? i mean sure if it meant enough to me i might get involved. but thats a beauty of out government. our voices can be heard when we want it to be.

The government doesn't care, otherwise I would not have had to fight for disability, despite being medically qualified by even social security's own blue book. I have also seen others denied or suspended over bullshit, for examples, an Elderly neighbor's retirement getting suspended because she saved and had $5,000 in her savings account, another Elderly neighbor having to cash out a childhood life insurance policy they had no idea they had, Globe Life is the most known insurance company that allows grandparents to take out policies on their grandchildren, my own Aunt had to spend ALL of her late husband's insurance money before her and my cousins got one red cent in survivor's benefits, even though she only had barely $1,500 left after burial expenses and other debts were all paid off, one friend of the family was denied public assistance because she made barely a dollar over qualification with her job.
