The new social security raise starting in January is a joke!

Biden announced he was giving people in social security a 3.2% raise to combat inflation. My wife signed up for Social security this past September. She was told that her Medicare insurance payments would be deducted from her check before she got it. That's fine. Two weeks ago she got a letter from Medicare stating they were raising the cost of her drug coverage plan. So after deducting the new increase of this new 3.2% pay raise she will only see an additional $0.78 per month in her check to cover all the inflation Biden has caused. Thanks Joe! Don't count on our support in November.

Exactly how have Biden caused inflation?
Covid created inflation world wide. Trump sat as president 2017-2021 so if you wanna blame inflation on a president, it's him.

Biden has been on what two years? He's not a magician he can't just make the covid consequences vanish just because he is president. Do you know how long time it takes to go from inflation to normal after a pandemic? I'm asking because I think two years is far from enough time to set the world straight again.

It also depends where we lay the money. If we lay it on social security help, the taxes will go up. Republicans prefer lower taxes and don't really bother with how it effects those who don't afford a living. (People on security money , people with health care needs etc)

However. I don't know if Trump would care any more than Biden has about your wife. America is a BIG capitalistic country. Where putting money in is what counts. Not who you are and not your values, your character. Those who can profit for America, are those that will be prioritized no matter what President we have.

Without these rich people and companies we would have an even worse inflation. Because the country is dependent on their success. And Europe is dependent on US sucess and so on.

To change this would mean to let go of capitalism. And I don't think US ever has had a plan to do that.
