In the UK, whenever the state broadcaster, the BBC, mentions Hamas, they literally have to add, "Officially regarded by the UK government as a terrorist organisation," every time they say the name. It's quite bizarre.

But then the British government speaks for no one, and dares not go to the country to seek a mandate.
