to do anything for 'the people'? The biggest bipartisan agreement of the past decade or so was to vote down a bill that would end the insider trading they are allowed to make millions from.

I don't think our election system would put people's representatives there, with the two party system the way it is now.
Maybe if people understood that there's a conflict of interest there, if we had a third party and ranked choice voting, we'd have representation in our government.

@Roundandroundwego IDK, I have been thinking since this uncivil war between the parties started, we would be better off without parties altogether.
