Charges have already been brought in NY for the Trump Organization, and will be forthcoming in Georgia for election interference. Both have nothing to do with the DOJ and will occur independently. If Republicans take the House, they will stop the January 6 Committee, but their report will be issued prior to the end of this year. DOJ will continue to investigate Trump's crimes long after a new Congress is seated, since that is part of the Executive Branch, not the Legislative Branch of government.

Trump is screwed on every level.

@Reason10 Trump committed multiple crimes. There is absolutely no doubt of that, and the majority of Americans know it. He committed tax fraud. He commited real estate fraud. He extorted the President of Ukraine to fabricate fake investigations of Joe Biden. He committed treason by plotting to steal a fair and free election, and unleashed his Cult on the Capitol to commit violence in his name. He illegally tried to shake down the Georgia Secretary of State to falsify the election. He stole documents and stored them at Mar-a-Lago and elsewhere. All are being investigated, and Trump will be indicted multiple times. His company that he runs is already being sued for tax and real estate fraud, and he will lose. Trump knows this and is frantically trying to move assets to prevent their loss.
