@Wol62 no consent. But I realize that society can't change overnight. I vote for the person that most closely reflects my values. That doesn't mean I love that person and like everything they do. It's the best choice available

@Wol62 Not at all. I believe the US should spend more money on defense. I'm happy to pay for that.

But the federal budget contains a lot of shit we don't need to be spending money on.

So the feds don't have my complete trust

@HoraceGreenley But in a democracy that is up to the voters to decide. They have decided that the Federal budget is acceptable.

@Wol62 the budget is not a referendum. We only elect representatives.

I wouldn't vote for our budgets.

But you get a chance to vote for people who will reduce the budget.

If you are worried about taxes there are tax free nations out there.
