Why Is The World Still Allowing Communism To Thrive .

The world stood up for Racism and Appartheid and is still standing for it today but they allow something far worse to fester and grow in a world that would be better off without it . Yes I am talking about communism and dictatorships that put down anyone that speaks out by murdering them openly and with no resistance from the rest of the world . Its not only happening in Russia but China and several african countries and the world stands back and allows it to happen . This is a disgrace and every government should hang its head in shame . When is the world gonna get together and wipe this evil from our world once and for all .

Because China and Russia have nukes.

And Putin is not a communist; he is a fascist.
@SW-User China calls itself communist but is engaged in all kinds of capitalism. why are we just giving it to people when they call themselves communist?? too intellectually lazy to do that. I mean god look into it , they have "Special zones"where the capitalism goes on in china.
@SW-User I don't agree with Jason on 3rd worldism but his calling out of china here is true.

There's literally nothing communist about modern Russia. You know how the USSR fell? Yeah it fell. It's a capitalist country, just one without a lot of political freedoms.
Elessar · 26-30, M
Is communism in the room with us right now? Can you see it? feel it, hear it?
BlueVeins · 22-25
Can you tell me what you think the word 'Communism' means please? I agree that dictatorship is bad and Communism tends to be an ineffective governing philosophy, but it seems like the wrong word...
Are you complaining about communism or totalitarianism?
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@MistyCee Only when it was convenient ofcourse... Before that Stalin delivered resources to Germany, made deals with the NAZI party, and divided up Europe. And after the war the soviets took all they could get. Not to mention that he mixed facsist elements (like personality cults and nationalism) with Leninism because he was a narscistic powermonger. ... So yeah... I wouldn't be "too" thankfull either.
@Kwek00 hence I called them "so-called Communists."
@Rhode57 As a socialist if you asked me if what I want is a country like North Korea I would immediately be like ewww fuck no.

Hey I mean America isn't what I want it to be but at least here at home I don't get executed when I watch Japanese Anime like if in north korea you can have your whole family killed for watching foreign media.

Totalitarianism is gross.

Democratic Socialsim can be pretty lit though. More or less not I'm not even an enemy of free enterprise. What I want is a mixed economy, I want one that is a a little bit more generous to people on welfare.

But Capitalism can stay. we're not going to destroy it, we might nationalize health care but most industries would be left alone. Telecos would be net neutrality, we'd also tear down barriers so that independent startup internet service providers would have easier acccess, leveling the playing field so that we could disrupt comcast and timewarner.

But you support a government dictating the way a person lives their life. Huh.

Racism is still around. Apartheid isn't an official policy anymore, but don't think for a second South Africa is an oasis of tolerance.

What communists are you out to fight, anyway? 60 years of hysteria about them and they've still done not a thing to us.
I’ll take a stab at an answer. Geopolitics, who has each other’s backs for their own interests/ agendas, mutual agreements on things that benefit all parties , natural resources, control and distribution of them, control of many things which IMO is now coming in the form of a NWO/WEF and globalization.
All that said, at some point should that come to pass, the Alpha male will arise and want to lead the pack. That as my late father would say, “ is when the gun begins!”
@Graylight I guess that depends on one’s definition of thriving. Glad I didn’t say that.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@soar2newhighs And yet you just gave an entire answer as to why it is.
@Graylight It is I guess in a non monetary sense…countries hanging on. and depending on other countries. My initial guess I think is accurate.
There are only four officially communist countries in the world; China, Cuba, Laos and Vietnam. And the biggest one, China, is communist in name only. They are more capitalist than the US. Communism is harmless as it is just a different economic system that differs from capitalism. And that is where the fear comes from. As people hate that which is different. Russia, China, multiple lost wars, McCarthyism and state atheism have given a simple economic theory an evil name. 95% of those countries and wars where over authoritarianism not economics. Actual communism has never been achieved beyond a town level. Nor does it tell people to oppress and kill.

For the same reason we have spam emails, phony phone call, Nigerian princes with temporary money problems, hundreds of Russian girls who want to meet you, pills to make your junk grow to porno proportions and little known money secrets only the rich know etc.

It sounds good to idiots with no real world experience.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@redredred Actually, very savvy people with plenty of world experience get duped every single day.

It's knowing it can happen to you that keeps it at bay. But for the infallible, I'm sure you couldn't relate.
redredred · M
@Graylight so long as we can agree that communism and Nigerian princes have the same level of credibility I don’t give a rats ass what other conclusions you stumble upon.
Yes I am talking about communism and dictatorships
Communism is literally an anarchist philosophy.
@Really
often spoken by people who don't pause to think about that before uttering them
I agree. Like, some people use "Communism" to mean anything they don't like.

Actual Communists use the agreed upon definition of the word, which refers to an anarchist society where the means of production are shared.
Russia and China are not communist, they're capitalist Dictatorships.
Really · 80-89, M
@BohemianBoo Rubbish. You're brainwashed.
@Really By who?
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
You're talking more about authoritarianism than communism. China is socialist, Xi ping was part of the communist party so there's an argument to be made, China's a very collectivist society, Russia has a controlling sociopath at the helm.
Really · 80-89, M
'Isms' don't create evil in the world. People do that; people whether inside or outside of politics. Ordinary human lust for power and money is the problem - and we're stuck with that. It won't go away. All we can do is try to protect ourselves .
iamelijah · 26-30, M
That is what government do. They dictate our lives. What? Do you think people free roamly uncontrolled and and act violently?
Capitalist does the same thing except they control us with money and not with military.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@iamelijah The government serves us. We created it, we're responsible for its upkeep and operation, we hire and fire its workers.

A collective societal agreement to ensure the greatest good through common rules is not government control.
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
Yeah, uh-. Communism is just a certain view of the world that is critical of capitalism. It's not normal to try to wipe out a philosophy. Your country is at war that way. It's problematic.
Dude. The cold war is over. You can put down the cliches and slogans.

And your own post proves you don't even understand what a communist is.
