Mao Zedong was crazy. When you see images like that, you also wonder why the Chinese people were so subservient. I do. And I hate it when I see it today.

I don't remember if it is told in that documentary, but I read they used pesticides to kill locusts...and they killed all the bees too 😫

@Cierzo Mao's problem was he was a hyperidealist. He appreciated ideas for their idealistic value, not their practical value
