I Am a Communist

Eco-Socialism, a more practical, environmentally friendly version of Marxism. Don't let the name fool you--the philosophy is extremely Marxisr and I feel as though they simply don't want the stigma that would otherwise be associated with the term Communism. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eco-socialism I will attempt to roughly summarize the views as outlined in this Wikipedia article, as it took me 4 hours to read. Eco-Socialism is a political orientation that combines Marxist, socialist, and environmental ideas. It is a form of Green policies and Socialist policies, although it must be pointed out that Green Socialism is a different view than Social Greens, although Green Socialism, Red-Green/Green-Red, and Eco-Socialism are very similar and are interchangeable. Eco-Socialists criticize other sub parties and party combinations of Green and Socialist parties for not being anticapitalist enough. They agree with Marx for the most part, but some critics say they don't truly include Marx's core values, given they put environmentalism above the people. They're anticapitalist, want to abolish private ownership of property, and vouch for equality, suggesting that class division emerges from gender and race division. They prefer reducing energy consumption before developing renewable energy sources, as many renewable energy sources are often capitalized upon before they are ready for widespread deployment. Personally I feel like the research on renewable energy sources needs to accelerate and become more intensive, but at the same time, we shouldn't be deploying them prematurely and should simultaneously work on improving the efficiency of existing resources, as well as reducing our global energy consumption. I for instance, support the hydrogen fuel cell, but with current production methods, they are not efficient to mass produce for widespread deployment. Eco-socialists are also generally negative towards nuclear energy. Personally, I support Nuclear Energy, provided we can safely dispose of the waste and maintain our reactors. As mentioned before, Eco-Socialism is effectively Marxism with the environment put first, before the people. Personally I think that while the environment is extremely important, a tiny amount of damage is easily reversible by the effects of Mother Nature Herself should She will it to happen. We do not necessarily have to disadvantage the people, as skimping very slightly on the environment will do no long term or global harm. It will be sustainable and easily reversible if need be. I personally lean more Marxist. But there's a term for the even more Marxist Eco-Socialists. "Watermelons." Green on the outside, Red on the inside. Eco-Socialists are more communist than socialist, especially watermelons. But I like the term, as it perfectly describes l'il ol' Marxist enviro-nut me without the stigma behind the term "communism." I also feel that, quite obviously, space is important. We can't own any part of space. It's part of an international treaty we signed (yet people find it perfectly reasonable to "own" chunks of this rock... why can't we transcend the concept of land ownership, and prove we are advanced animals with the ability to truly reason and think about concepts; else, how different are we than alpha wolves urinating borders like we own everything within it?) during the Space Race, or slightly before it, I think. It is another area we should explore, but refrain of on contaminating. I do not know Eco-Socialistic views on space exploration is, but I for one put it right after environmentalism and people in terms of importance. But yes, do read into Eco-Socialism if you love the environment and Marx. If you like Marx, and the isidewith.com test ranks you as a Green Socialist (I was 95% Green, 89% Socialist), I highly suggest you check out Eco-Socialism!

Look into Germany's implementation of renewable energy, particularly the solar power. It's been very successful, and it looks it will eventually take over as the main source of energy supply.

DO NOT!!! Support nuclear power. We haven't found a way to dispose the nuclear waste yet.
